I’ve worked with over 60 institutions, organizations, state systems of higher education, and for-profit partners in ed tech and other areas across the U.S. through workshops, keynotes, facilitated discussions, leadership retreats, and a variety of other engagements.
As of 2025-2026, my engagements are focused on the idea that “the future was yesterday,” helping institutions navigate their way forward when what might seem new one day is already out of date by the next. Drawing on the themes explored in my 2026 book, From Upheaval to Action: What Works in Changing Higher Ed (co-authored with Arthur Levine; sequel to The Great Upheaval: Higher Education’s Past, Present, and Uncertain Future, published in 2021 through JHUP), my goal is to support forward-thinking institutions in supporting their learners, faculty, staff, and larger communities.
